Sandbergen & Haga Park – StrandNära is just steps away from the beach and the highsand hills. Here you can sunbathe and swim in the shallow water with soft and smoothsandy bottom. The view offers a view of Kalmar with its picturesque castle. Enjoy the beautiful sunset during an evening walk along the sloping sand hills.

A few hundred meters away is the Haga Park’s recreation area with swimming area, playground, windsurfing center and volleyball court. Here you can hire windsurfing equipment, kayaks, miniature golf and cycling.

Beijershamn – the Nature Reserve

Nature Reserve in Beijershamn – is a heaven for bird and nature lovers. Beijershamn is not only famous for its rich bird life here is also Öland’s largest populations of butterflies, over600 Swedish butterfly species over the years has been found in the area. The area offersbird watching towers, hides and marked trails.

Beijershamn also offers a piece of interesting history which tells of a harbor construction that total came to failure.

Stora Frö – the Village

Stora Frö is a small idyllic village located in the south of Öland, about 10 kilometers from the Öland bridge, between Färjestaden and Mörbylånga. There is also a sweet little pottery. Within walking distance you reach the nature reserve and bird sanctuary Beijershamn.
